Ask your Local Shop to order a book in for you

Ask your Local Shop to order a book in for you

  1. How do I ask my Local Shop to order a book in for me?
  2. How do I pay for my order?
  3. Where do I go to collect my order?

1. How do I ask my Local Shop to order a book in for me?

To use the facility to request your local shop to obtain a book for you, locate the book required on the website and click on Reserve in Store.
This will show the list of stores stocking that title.

Click on the shop at which you would like to collect the book and you will be asked for your email address, name, contact number and the number of copies required.

Click on 'Submit' and your reference will be generated.

If the book is not in stock at the shop, our best suggestion would be to contact them directly and ask them to order the book in for you.  For some titles, the shop will contact you to confirm availability, also to confirm the price and a deposit may be required.

The shop will then order the book in and contact you when it is available for collection.  You can then collect your book within the next ten days from Customer Services at the relevant store.

2. How do I pay for my order?

The shop will contact you when the book is available for collection.  You can then collect your book within the next ten days from Customer Services at the relevant store and pay in store.

3. Where do I go to collect my order?

Once the book store has received your reservation request you will be e-mailed and informed when the book is available for collection in the store.

Generally these will be located at the Customer Collection Point in the shop.

There should be a link somewhere to reserve and collect, delivery is the only option offered in the basket: maybe even link from this page to somewhere that offers the option
