Have I been charged twice (double payment)? 

If you've opted to pay by credit or debit card, payment is only confirmed at the point of dispatch. Sometimes a small pending transaction (normally £1) will be placed on your credit/debit card to verify the account when the order is placed, which will be returned shortly after. We do not take any money until the order is shipped.
